Tesla's CyberTruck electric pickup truck
Elon Musk, CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, unveiled the company's first electric truck on stage at the Tesla Design Center in Los Angeles yesterday.
The company claims that this cybertruck is an exoskeleton made of ultra-hard cold-rolled steel, capable of withstanding sledgehammers and 9mm pistol cartridges. The company also test-fired the truck, which collided with a sledgehammer and fired 9mm pistol bullets. But it showed that the truck did not puncture or smash.
Musk also noted that the materials used in Cybertrook's exoskeleton were similar to those used in the company's Starship rocketship, which is currently being tested.
According to the specifications, the Cybertruck has 100 cubic feet of lockable outdoor storage and is designed to withstand loads of up to 3500 pounds. It also has an adaptive air suspension to allow it to stay close to the ground on highways.
According to Tesla's tests, the Cybertruck can go 0-60 seconds in 0-60 seconds and 10.8 seconds on the quarter mile (km).
Pre-orders for the Cypriot are live on Tesla's website, and production is set to begin at the end of 2021. Tri-motor AWT CyberTruck is scheduled to enter production in late 2022
